The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
•Taylor W.E. Owens, 18, of 15566 Boiling Springs Road at Licking, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated (drugs), possession of marijuana and failure to properly signal turn after a traffic stop on West Highway 17 at about 11 p.m. Jan. 9.
An officer made the stop after observing a black 1994 Chevrolet pickup fail to use a turn signal; when turning from U.S. 63 onto West Highway 17. After making contact with the driver, the officer smelled pot and field sobriety tests were conducted.
Owens was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital for a blood draw and then to the Texas County Jail.
•Laurie A. Iverson, 58, of 6920 Lundy Road in Houston, was cited for driving without a valid license on Jan. 9.
•Lonnie R. Quick, 31, of 403 N. Grand Ave. in Houston, was issued a citation for first-degree trespassing after allegedly being seen in Walmart. Quick had been banned from all Walmart properties after an incident in September 2018.
•Tammy S. Jones, 51, of 220 W. Chestnut St., in Houston, was cited for failure to yield right of way after a two-vehicle accident at Chestnut Street and First Street at about 5:40 p.m. Jan. 8.
•Jacqueline C. Jackson, 72, of 14388 Boiling Springs Road at Licking, was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way after a two-vehicle accident at Walnut Street and Grand Avenue at about 3:30 p.m. Jan. 8.
•Nathan C. Young, 31, of 17100 Tiffany Drive, Lot 0, at Houston, was cited for stealing under $750 after allegedly shoplifting at Walmart on Dec. 29.
Jessica L. Rader, 23, of 7843 Lay Road in Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $750 after allegedly shoplifting at Walmart on Dec. 29.
•Rebecca A. Leier, 69, of 1222 W. Chestnut St. in Houston, was cited for operating a vehicle with expired license plates on Jan. 4.
•Tyrone E. Gilmore, 30, of Lake Ozark, was arrested Jan. 11 for having active warrants in four Missouri counties.
An officer made the arrest after making contact with Gilmore while investigating a domestic disturbance at a Highway 17 apartment complex. A computer check revealed that Gilmore had warrants in Pettis County (narcotic equipment violation), Cooper County (child neglect), Moniteau County (dangerous drugs) and Camden County (traffic offense). He was taken to the Texas County Jail pending extradition.
