The Houston Police Department were called Friday to Chestnut and King streets after a report of shots fired. One person is charged. 

The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Facundo Hernandez, 32, of 712 W. Chestnut St. in Houston, was issued citations on Jan. 5 for driving while intoxicated and driving without a valid license.

An officer was dispatched at about 10:35 p.m. for a possible crash at Bryan Street and Oak Street. Upon arrival, the officer observed a tan 2000 Pontiac Bonneville high-centered in a ditch in front of a Bryan Street house, and a group of people standing in the yard.

The officer determined Hernandez had been the driver of the vehicle, and the tickets were issued after an investigation. He was taken to jail for a six-hour hold period.

•Kylea J.E. Lane, 19, of 1235 Ozark St. in Houston, was cited for allowing an animal to run at large on Jan. 4. Lane was cited after an officer investigated a report from a mail carrier that a dog had been chasing her and acting aggressively.

•Steven R. Caraveo, 24, of 733 W. Chestnut St. in Houston, was issued a citation for driving while intoxicated – drugs after a traffic stop on First Street at about 12:40 a.m. Jan. 1.

An officer made the stop after observing a blue 2003 Jeep passenger vehicle with a light out. After making contact with the driver, Caraveo, the officer determined he had been smoking marijuana and field sobriety tests were conducted. He was taken to the Texas County Jail.

•Brent A. Lambert, 40, of 10311 Highway 17 at Bucyrus, was arrested Dec. 31 for having an active Texas County warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

An officer aware of the warrant made the arrest following a traffic stop on Spruce Street at about 8:40 p.m. Lambert was taken to the Texas County Jail, where he was unable to post $150,000 bond.

•Raymond G. Williams, 53, of 12451 Kitchen Drive in Licking, was arrested Dec. 28 for having an active Texas County warrant for driving while intoxicated – habitual offender.

An officer made the arrest at the private probation office after being advised Williams was there.

Williams was taken to jail and incarcerated without bond.
