A Licking teenager faces two charges, including felony harassment, after admitting to committing a sexual act against another teen.
The Texas County Sheriff’s Department said Garrett G. Duncan, 17, confessed to the criminal act against a 16-year-old male who was asleep. Duncan recorded the act and sent the video through Snapchat to three friends in the residence where the alleged crime was committed Sunday.
Along with the felony charge, Duncan was also cited with misdemeanor sexual misconduct.Â
A deputy with the sheriff’s department said he was contacted Wednesday by the Licking Police Department with information about the alleged crime. The deputy interviewed Duncan, who admitted to the act and said he did it because “he thought it was funny.”
The friends who received the video told the deputy Duncan had said he was going to perform the act as a joke. The video was shown to others at Licking Schools, the deputy said.
Duncan was held on $250,000 bond in the Texas County Jail and later released.
