The Houston Tigers scored seven times in the first inning Tuesday and cruised to a 12-2 five-inning victory against Summersville.

Eight different HHS players had hits, including two apiece from Devin Wallander and Alex Castleman. Wallander drove home three runs.

The Tigers (11-5) won their fourth consecutive game and for the eighth time in nine games. They host Dora at 4 p.m. Friday.

Jacob Koch threw two scoreless innings en route to his team-leading fifth win. He struck out three and walked two while giving up one hit to lower his ERA to 2.33.

Senior Braedin Groff earned the save. He struck out six and gave up two earned runs in three innings.
