Junior Clayton Moore and senior Melody Buse were voted the Houston Booster Club’s 2018-’19 “players of the year.”
Moore earned second team all-conference and all-district honors on the basketball court as the Tigers’ leading scorer. He averaged 17 points per game and made a team-best 82 3-pointers. On the tennis team, Moore teamed with Kyle Mills to finish second in the district and advance to the sectional round.
Buse, a libero, was a first team all-conference pick and second team all-district after leading the South Central Association with 394 digs. She finished with a 2.34 passer rating. Buse also earned academic all-state honors.
The awards are voted on by members of the booster club.
