Following the execution of a search warrant July 5 at a house in Cabool, two men each face multiple felony charges.
John Castleberry, 58, of 960 Shelton Drive, Lot 17, in Cabool, is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and Dustin Fraiser, 33, of 715 Missouri Ave. in West Plains is charged with felonies of possession of a controlled substance and delivery or possession of a controlled substance at a jail, as well as misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
A probable cause statement in the case indicates Cabool Police Department officers and Texas County Sheriff’s Department deputies executed a search warrant at Castleberry’s residence after a confidential source stated methamphetamine had been purchased there. During the search, several plastic bags containing methamphetamine were found, along with multiple other items related to drugs.
Five people in the residence were reportedly detained and taken to the Cabool police station and jail for questioning. Each person was thoroughly searched, and Fraiser was found to be carrying a bag of meth stashed inside a knife sheath.
Fraiser, authorities said, has an extensive criminal history that includes charges of distribution and possession of drugs, along with multiple cases of theft and forgery. Castleberry reportedly also has a lengthy record that includes several DWI charges, receiving stolen property and multiple drug charges.
Illegal items seized in the search were sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol lab for testing.
Fraiser’s bond is set at $100,000 and Castleberry’s is set at $25,000.
