The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
•At about 12:01 a.m. July 7, a 59-year-old Mountain Grove man reported that a 16-foot dual tandem trailer (of unreported value) had been stolen from his Neville Road residence. Investigation is ongoing.
•A deputy responded at about 9:30 p.m. July 6 to a report of a fight between a 36-year-old woman and 33-year-old man at a Kelly Road residence at Raymondville.
After an investigation, neither person wished to pursue charges. The deputy separated them and advised them of the 12-hour rule.
•A deputy responded at about 7:50 p.m. July 5 regarding a report of a disturbance at a Highway 32 residence at Plato involving a 43-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man.
After an investigation, neither person wished to pursue charges. The deputy advised them of the 12-hour rule.
•A deputy responded at about 7:15 p.m. July 4 to a request for assistance by the Licking Police Department with regard to a fight between a 28-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman at a Main Street residence at Licking.
After an investigation, neither person wished to pursue charges. They were separated and advised of the 12-hour rule.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 2 p.m. July 5 regarding a report of a burglary at a Highway U residence at Cabool.
A 52-year-old woman there told the officer she had been caring for her daughter’s house while she was out of town, and that cable running to the home had been cut and a large window broken. The resident had three game cameras set up outside, but only one worked. It reportedly showed photos of an unknown man and woman who showed up at different times on July 2. Investigation continues.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 11 a.m. July 2 regarding a report of shots fired at a Rainbow Drive residence at Willow Springs.
A 32-year-old man there told the officer a 59-year-old neighbor man was in the woods about 100 yards away shooting at him. The man told the officer he could hear bullets flying past him.
The man showed the officer where the suspect was allegedly firing from, and no evidence was observed. The deputy spoke with the suspect and determined there wasn’t ample proof to justify charges.
•A deputy responded at about 9 p.m. June 28 regarding a report of a domestic disturbance involving a 60-year-old woman, 33-year-old woman and 31-year-old man at a Morton Road residence at Houston.
After an investigation, none of the parties wished to pursue charges. They were all advised of the 12-hour rule.
•At about 1:25 p.m. June 26, four deputies were dispatched to a Highway AW residence at Plato regarding a domestic disturbance involving a 52-year-old man, two 52-year-old women and a 30-year-old woman.
After an investigation, none wished to pursue charges. They were advised of the 12-hour rule.
•A 28-year-old Cabool man reported on July 3 that a 1997 Jeep Wrangler (of unreported value) had been swiped from his Highway 181 residence. There are no suspects.
•On June 9, a deputy investigated a report of vandalism at a church on Brown Hill Road at Houston.
The officer met with a 68-year-old man there who showed where a window had been broken and a screen cut, and how a refrigerator had been gone through. The officer also observed damage to a couple of exterior doors, and obscene writing on a white board in a Sunday school room.
Some candles had been lit, and the church representative said they had not been lit before. The only thing reportedly stolen was a small amount of change.
There are no suspects.
