The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
•Bobby A. Naylor, 26, of 321 S. Wall St. in Mountain Grove, was cited for driving while suspended on Aug. 14.
•Martin S. Walker, 45, of 1914 Ozark Ave., Apt. B, in Cabool, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated (drugs), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to register a motor vehicle after a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at about 12:40 a.m. Aug. 14.
An officer made the stop after observing an orange Pontiac sedan with no license plates traveling south on U.S. 63. After making contact with the driver, the officer smelled pot and Walker admitted he had some in the car.
During a search, a plastic bag containing marijuana was found, along with a glass smoking device. Field sobriety tests were then conducted.
Walker was taken to the Texas County Jail, fingerprinted and released to a sober driver.
•Mikel S. Shook, 29, of 9650 Highway E at Houston, was issued a citation for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at U.S. 63 and Brushy Creek Road at about 11:30 p.m. Aug. 6.
An officer made the stop after being advised by dispatch that a black Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling south on U.S. 63 after leaving the scene of an assault at a Highway E residence. The officer observed the vehicle and saw it swerve several times.
After making the stop, the officer smelled alcohol coming from inside the vehicle and filed sobriety tests were conducted. Shook was taken to jail.
•Andrew Villarreal, 47, of 424 King St. in Houston, was issued a citations for utilities required in an occupied residence and possession of drug paraphernalia on Aug. 7.
An officer wrote the tickets after going to Villarreal’s house to assist another officer investigate a reported theft. Upon arrival, the officer observed an orange extension cord running from a neighboring house on Chestnut Street to a bedroom of Villarreal’s home.
While inside the house, the officer observed a glass smoking device that had a strong odor of marijuana coming from it sitting on the floor in front of a love seat. The device was seized as evidence and photos were taken of the extension cord.
•Danielle C. Heiney, 23, of 16375 Forrest Drive in Houston, was cited for driving without a valid license on Aug. 12.
•Paris L. Taylor, 51, of 903 Bryan St. in Houston, was cited for peace disturbance on Aug. 11 after a reported incident at Walmart.
An officer was dispatched to the store and told by a manager that Taylor had been there the previous night and broke glass bottles in the parking lot prior to entering the store without shoes or socks. Taylor allegedly then walked through the store smoking a cigarette and using profanity.
The manager stated that several customers complained about Taylor’s actions and he was escorted outside by an employee. The manager presented the officer with a trespass notice for Taylor and said he was no longer allowed in the store.
•Christopher L. Trentham, 35, of 8309 Mineral Drive in Houston, was cited for driving while revoked on Aug. 11.
•An officer was dispatched Aug. 13 regarding a report of a counterfeit $100 bill at Progressive Ozark Bank.
A manager at the bank said the fake money was found when she was going through cash taken in.
The manager said nobody was sure when the bill was taken in, and there are no suspects.
•Brenda L. Brim, 53, of 17765 Highway B at Houston, was arrested Aug. 16 for having two active Texas County felony warrants for delivery of a controlled substance.
An officer made the arrest at the private probation office in Houston after being advised Brim was there. She was taken to the Texas County Jail and held without bond on the capias warrants.
