Members of the Houston City Council on Tuesday held a short open session before adjourning into a closed session to discuss the hiring of a city administrator.

The city also will look to correct some drainage issues on the northern perimeter of the airport.
In other matters:

—Will study the addition of a baby swing at Emmett Kelly Park.
—Learned that no date for fall cleanup days has been set, but it likely will be in mid-October.
