SANDRA ECHOLS

Sandra Lee (Tippets) Echols passed away on Oct. 23, 2019, at the age of 71, at her home in Roby, Mo.  She was born in Corvallis, Ore., on April 30, 1948, to Wayne Maxwell and Scharlene (Willis) Tippets.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Wayne Tippets, Jr.  She is survived by her sister, Kolleen James of Prescott, Ariz.; her husband, Richard Echols of the home; four sons, Brett Echols and wife, Natalie of Syracuse, Utah, Devon Echols of Phoenix, Ariz., Justin Echols and wife, Breanna of South Jordan, Utah, and Alex Echols and wife, Shelby of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Carlee Weeks and husband, Rex of Eagle Mountain, Utah, and 13 grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.

Sandra grew up in Scottsdale, Ariz., and graduated from Brigham Young University.  She went to nursing school and became a Registered Nurse.  She practiced nursing her entire life. 

She married Richard Echols in 1970 and they raised five children in Phoenix, Ariz.  They were married for 49+ years.  She was very involved with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed the many hours of service associated with that group.

She was a great teacher, and she loved to toll paint and quilt.  Her nursing skills were shared with all her friends and family with great compassion.

Services are 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, at Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, Houston, Mo. Burial is in Hickory Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Pallbearers are: Brett Echols, Justin Echols, Devon Echols, Rex Weeks, Lewis Echols and Doug Echols.
