Two people face felony drug charges after an investigation in Licking involving several area law enforcement agencies.
Licking Police Department Chief Pat Burton said that at about 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, officers with the LPD, Texas County Sheriff’s Department, South Central Drug Task Force and the Missouri State Highway Patrol worked in conjunction and conducted a short term narcotics investigation which led to the execution of a search warrant at the 100 block of Sacket Street.
Burton said the officers located a plastic bag containing methamphetamine, a large number of hypodermic syringes, glass smoking devices and other items used for the packaging, processing and consumption of meth.
A man and woman in the house were both arrested and taken to the Texas County Jail: Dawn D. Lord, 40, of 118 Sackett St. in Licking, and William J. Keller, 34, of 204B N. Main St. in Salem. They are each charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, with bonds set at $25,000.
