Two persons were injured in an accident early Saturday about four miles west of Summersville on Highway WW, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Cpl. Terry Nelson said a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Christopher A. Sandoval, 20, of Winona, failed to negotiate a curve at about 1:30 a.m., ran off the highway, struck hay bales and overturned.
Sandoval was transferred with serious injuries and was transported to Mercy in Springfield. A passenger, Jacob W. Wilson, 19, of Newark, had minor injuries and was to seek his own treatment.
Both were wearing seat belts, and the vehicle was totaled.
