Young Texas County hunters had killed 142 deer going into the second and final day of the early portion of youth season, the Missouri Department of Conservation reported.

Our 13 yr old grandson, Jackson Carroll, from Highlandville tagged a spiked buck just after dawn Saturday. It was his first deer, first shot and first to go to Cabool Kountry Meats for processing.
