The Cabool Police Department responded to several calls during the past week, including a domestic disturbance.
The department reported 17 traffic stops resulting in seven summons and six warnings issued. One arrest for a non-traffic offense was made.
On Feb. 15, officers responded to a domestic disturbance at the DQ Grill and Chill. Officers located the suspect and identified him as Clinton Ussery, Willow Springs. Ussery was placed under arrest for peace disturbance.
During an inventory search of his vehicle, officers located a pistol. It was determined that Ussery is a convicted felon and is disqualified from possession of firearms. A probable cause statement was sent to the Texas County prosecutor.
A warrant was issued for his arrest, charging him with unlawful possession of a firearm and peace disturbance, according to officers. He is being held on a $3,000 cash-only bond.
In total, police handled one alarm, five animal complaints, assisted other agencies five times, one civil matter, one domestic violence call, two peace disturbances, assisted the public four times, three suspicious activity incidents and three warrant arrests. The fire department was dispatched 14 times.
