An eighth lawsuit has been filed after a camera was found inside a woman’s bathroom at a Cabool business, according to court documents.

All filed as plaintiffs “Jane Doe,” the lawsuits allege that a camera was found inside the Casey’s General Store bathroom. In the latest action, the former employee suggests that the woman’s “hours were being cut because of her complaints about the camera in the bathroom, safety concerns, questioning regarding the additional evidence which was never given to police, and her fear of using the restroom of work following discovery of the camera and discovery that it was her boss who placed it there.” Documents describe a storage card that is alleged to not have been received by police.

The boss, according to court documents, was Patrick Pitcher, who was recently sentenced to six years in prison in connection with the case. The incident occurred in January 2023.

Casey’s Marketing Co. and Pitcher are listed as defendants in the lawsuits.

Analysis of the camera’s SD card by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s division of drug and crime control revealed it contained 154 videos of people using the restroom. One of the videos reportedly showed Pitcher himself adjusting the camera angle using an application on his phone.

He was convicted on charges of possession of a controlled substance, felony; unlawful use of a weapon, felony; and invasion of privacy – victim less than 18 years old, a felony. Pitcher was also charged with sexual exploitation of a minor child and possession of child pornography, but those charges were dropped.
