Two Plato residents were injured Wednesday night in an accident east of Manes, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Tpr. Justin Dedmon said an eastbound 2002 Nissan Xterra was operated by Amy R. Hawkins, 50, of Plato, when it ran off Highway H and overturned.
Hawkins and a passenger, Amanda K. Nugent, 25, were taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston after the 7:50 p.m. accident. Hawkins had minor injuries; and Nugent sustained moderate injuries.
The car had extensive damage; both women were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.
