Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings April 3 – April 4.
Members:
- Reviewed and approved a liquor license for Ernestina Leon dba Tina’s Mexican Restaurant.
- Signed the Department of Agriculture Surveyor Co-op for reimbursement.
- Waived a county taxpayer’s fees and penalties.
- Received bids from EJ Beckerdite for the Texas County Museum.
In other business, commissioners heard from:
- Sheriff Scott Lindsey and Chief Deputy Rowdy Douglas who discussed the drug task force program and litigation issues.
- Kevin Buck, City of Houston economic developer, on various issues.
- Bill Bridges, interim TCMH chief executive officer, on updates from TCMH’s latest board meeting and requested that times are set for photos with new ambulances.
- George Sholtz about the hospital board appointment, the flags at the Administrative Building and information concerning a developing problem with squatters in our area.
