Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings April 10 – April 11.
Members:
- Commissioner Scott Long signed approvals for sub-contractors on the Camp Road Bridge project.
- Met with Bobby McCleod about IT services for the county.
- Met with Ollis, Akers & Arney Insurance and Business Advisors representatives on health and liability insurance.
- Discussed internet services, EPA regulations and commissioner dues.
- Contacted Brad Gentry concerning the high tunnel greenhouse at the Justice Center. Elaine Campbell will be contacted for more information.
In other business, commissioners heard from:
- Tammy Cantrell, collector/treasurer, that Evan Buse’s at-will status was no longer needed effective March 27.
- Peggy Seyler, county clerk, on needing an additional employee for elections.
- Bill Bridges, interim TCMH CEO, on hospital issues and to take a photo with new ambulances.
