Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings April 10 – April 11.

Members:

  • Commissioner Scott Long signed approvals for sub-contractors on the Camp Road Bridge project.
  • Met with Bobby McCleod about IT services for the county.
  • Met with Ollis, Akers & Arney Insurance and Business Advisors representatives on health and liability insurance.
  • Discussed internet services, EPA regulations and commissioner dues.
  • Contacted Brad Gentry concerning the high tunnel greenhouse at the Justice Center. Elaine Campbell will be contacted for more information.

In other business, commissioners heard from:

  • Tammy Cantrell, collector/treasurer, that Evan Buse’s at-will status was no longer needed effective March 27.
  • Peggy Seyler, county clerk, on needing an additional employee for elections.
  • Bill Bridges, interim TCMH CEO, on hospital issues and to take a photo with new ambulances.
