The Houston High School track and field teams competed in Thursday’s Zizzer Relays meet at West Plains, with the boys placing 15th in a field of 21 teams and the girls finishing 13th out of 17.

The HHS girls had five top-10 finishes in the big event, while the boys had four.

HHS GIRLS TOP-10s

•Javelin: Kynlee Weaver 2nd, 39 throwers, 102-0.5

•800-meter run: Kristen Ely 9th, 32 runners, 2:44.03.

•300-meter hurdles, Adyson Dailing 8th, 15 runners, 51.73.

•4X100 relay: Houston 10th, 14 teams, 57.19 (Makynna Morelan, Morgan McKinney, Carli Cummins and Summer Seago).

•High jump: Kayla Wagner 10th, 16 jumpers, 4-6.

Other notable performances:

•1,600 meter run: Ely 12th, 20 runners, 6:14.41

•100-meter hurdles: Dailing 12th, 19 runners, 18:64.

•Long jump: Summer Seago 12th, 28 jumpers, 13-10.5.

•Triple jump: Wagner 14th, 22 jumpers, 29-3.25.

•Javelin: Morgan McKinney 12th, 89-2.25.

Ozark topped the girls team standings and West Plains was second.

HHS BOYS TOP-10s

•400-meter dash: DJ Riley 7th in a field of 46 runners with a time of 55.87.

•110-meter hurdles: Jordan Arthur 10th, 18 runners, 18:30.

•4X800 relay: Houston 7th, 10 teams, 9:39.14 (Jackson Evetts, Kane Crawford, Dillon Shelton and Jack Sawyer).

•Javelin: Mason Dodson 4th, 47 throwers, 136-5.

Other notable performances:

•Shot put: Layne Seago 12th, Maleki Morgan 13th (field of 49).

•Discus: Devin Shelton 11th, Brody Adkison 15th (field of 55).

West Plains took first and Willard placed second in the boys team standings.
