Houston High School’s tennis team won 7-2 Tuesday night at Licking.

The Tigers didn’t lose a game in the top two singles battles, as junior Connor McKinney won 8-0 in the No. 1 match and senior Kolten Gayer won 8-0 in the No. 2 match. In other singles action, senior Stuart Smith won 8-6 in the No. 3 match, senior Waylon Collins earned an 8-6 win in the No. 4 match, sophomore Maggie Wolfe lost 8-1 in the No. 5 match and sophomore Caleb McGiboney posted an 8-0 shutout in the No. 6 match.
Houston took 2 of the 3 doubles matches, as McKinney and Gayer topped their opponents 8-3 in the No. 1 match and Collins and Wolfe teamed up for an 8-3 win in the No. 2 match, but the sophomore duo of Halie Hamilton and Riley Wilson fell 8-3 in the No. 3 match.
In a JV singles match, Jack Sandberg won 4-0.
The victory was Houston’s second of the season over Licking.
