The National Weather Service said Monday morning there is an increased risk for storms later in the day in Texas County.
Here are the key points:
•The Storm Prediction Center has an enhanced risk (3/5) for severe weather in the orange shaded areas and a slight risk (2/5) of severe weather in the yellow shaded areas for today.
•Very large hail, damaging wind and tornadoes are all possible.
•Severe thunderstorm chances are highest between 4 this afternoon and 1 a.m. Tuesday.
•The Weather Prediction Center has a Slight Risk (2/4) for excessive rainfall valid for today.
