Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings April 24 – April 25.
Members:
- Discussed an email from Isaiah Buse, Houston Herald, concerning releasing commission minutes before they are official.
- Met with Tina Litton, State Tax Commission.
- Approved In-House Tech & Business Solutions for IT services for the county. Commissioners sent a letter to CPI Technologies terminating IT services.
- Commissioners John Casey and Robert Ross attended the quarterly township advisory board meeting.
- Met with a Christos House representative to sign a proclamation for sexual assault awareness month.
- Met with Jen Russell, Texas County Health Department, to discuss a member of the commission serving on one of their committees. A member of the commission will serve.
- Reviewed a letter from the Missouri Department of Agriculture on reimbursement to the county in the amount of $5,250 toward the cost of re-monumentation under the county surveyor co-op program.
In other business, commissioners heard from:
- Sheriff Scott Lindsey on several justice center items.
- County Clerk Peggy Seyler on an additional employee in the election office.
- The maintenance department on a mower situation and a quote for a new water softener system.
- Bill Bridges, interim TCMH CEO, concerning the progress of a hospital board appointment.
- Great Rivers Engineering on progress of Camp Road bridge.
- Mike Knapp inquiring about an interest-bearing bank account for Burdine Township.
- A citizen concerning a property tax bill.
