Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings May 15 – 16.
Members:
- Met with Bobby McCleod to discuss the IT needs of Texas County.
- Approved a liquor license for April Aubuchon, Clines Gas Hole, LLC dba The Gas Hole.
- Appointed John Thobe as Pierce Township Clerk.
- Approved a Sherrill Township contract.
- Discussed increasing juror pay. The commission will contact the prosecutor to get more information.
- Reviewed and acknowledged the transfer of Kyle Gross from the jail to the maintenance department effective May 29.
- Contacted Duncan Smith and Alberta Pummill regarding establishing a cemetery.
In other business, commissioners heard from:
- Scott Lindsey, sheriff, on inmate medical bills and a Justice Center dishwasher replacement. Lindsey informed the commission that Deputy Ty Albrecht will be the county’s drug task force employee.
