A Tennessee woman was seriously injured in a Texas County accident involving a tractor-trailer Wednesday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Timothy O. Harpe, 52, of Albany, Ga., was driving a 2022 Peterbilt tractor-trailer westbound on U.S. 60 two miles west of Cabool when he attempted to make a left turn and was overtaken by a 2009 Chevrolet HHR driven by Erilynn Denninger, 20, of Auburnton, Tenn., and struck it in the rear, patrol said.
Denninger was transported by Texas County Memorial Hospital ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries.
Both were wearing safety devices. The HHR was totaled, the tractor-trailer suffered minor damage.
