Water issues continue for Public Water Supply District No. 1 in Texas County

Posted at 2:52 p.m.: High water is causing problems for Public Water Supply District No. 1 in the Success and Roby areas. A line break is the apparent culprit near Boiling Springs.

The district issued a statement today: “We are sorry that the customers could not get through to us but our phone lines have been down for the last 2 days and just came back on last night. Our technicians have just checked the Boiling Springs area and the water levels have lowered enough that they can see the lines. They are now going to move the equipment into the area and the hope is that they can access the line for repair. I have spoken to many of the customers and have told them to act as if there is already a boil water advisory. I have already spoken with DNR and they know an advisory will be issued but until I get all of the information I can not announce the official advisory. As soon as we have more information I will update this post. Again, We are sorry for the inconvenience.”
