​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

Between Jan. 6 and 12, the Houston Police Department answered 81 calls for service and initiated five traffic stops, which resulted in one citation and four warnings.

  • On Jan. 6, officers responded to the 300 block of W. Pine Street for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, the parties had already separated and it was determined that no physical contact had occurred.
  • On Jan. 7, officers investigated the theft of banking information from a resident. The investigation is ongoing.
  • On Jan. 8, officers responded to the 200 block of W. Spruce Street for a peace disturbance. Upon arrival, officers found a male subject in possession of a board. He had been swinging it and a small flagpole at vehicles and responding officers. Officers arrested and cited John H. Hobson, 42, of Salem, for peace disturbance and failure to obey a police officer.
