Mike Kehoe — the former car dealership owner from Jefferson City who served in the state Senate and as lieutenant governor — will officially be sworn in today as Missouri’s 58th governor.

Former U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt will administer the oath of office to Kehoe at noon on the southside steps of the Missouri Capitol, with a 19-gun salute and flyover to follow.

The inauguration ceremony will start at 11:30 a.m., with Attorney General Andrew Bailey, Treasurer Vivek Malek, Secretary of State-elect Denny Hoskins and Lt. Gov.-elect David Wasinger all taking their oaths of office.

Kehoe will then deliver his inaugural address before heading to his new Capitol office for what his campaign refers to as a “Day One Action Ceremony.”

The new governor and first lady will take part in a promenade to the Governor’s Mansion at 1:45 p.m., led by the Budweiser Clydesdales. The inaugural ball is slated for 7 p.m. in the Capitol.
