A Cabool woman faces several charges following her arrest Thursday by the Cabool Police Department.

Savanah M.K. Davis, born in 1992, was stopped for erratic driving and a breath analysis showed her blood-alcohol level was nearly three times the level of intoxication, according to a report. She is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, DWI – with a person less than 17 years of age in the vehicle, operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner and two counts of failing to secure in a restraint two children, ages 5 and 7.

Cabool police said Davis was driving erratically on the roadway before she was stopped and arrested.

En route to the county sheriff’s department, Davis began thrashing about in a car cage, hitting her body with it and kicking. At one time, despite being restrained, she attempted to open the patrol’s door several times.

She safely arrived at the sheriff’s department and tested with a .21 blood-alcohol level.

The children were turned over to relatives.

Davis’ bond at the Texas County Jail is set at $3,000 cash only.
