The National Weather Service has expanded a Red Flag Warning to include Texas County on Monday, March 17.
The risk of wildfire runs from noon until 8 p.m.
Dry conditions, gusty winds and low relative humidities support elevated to significant fire danger Tuesday, possibly Wednesday and Thursday, and likely Friday, it said.
Strong winds are expected Tuesday and especially on Wednesday.
