Elevated fire danger continues across the area into early next week, the National Weather Service says. Fires can spread rapidly in these dry and breezy conditions.
Outside burning is discouraged except by experienced fire personnel. Persons should avoid activities that cause open flames or sparks. Residents should properly discard of cigarettes. Avoid parking on dry grass and check trailers for dragging chains, it said.
