Texas County ranked fifth in Missouri on Saturday in the annual spring firearms turkey season, the Missouri Department of Conservation said.
Hunters in the county had killed 346 birds. The breakdown is: 323 adult gobblers and 23 juvenile gobblers. The season opened Monday.
Top counties in the state were: Callaway (415), Franklin (387), Gasconade (383), Osage (366), Texas (346), Sainte Genevieve (344) and Phelps (329).
