Two Cabool High School seniors took first place for the second year in a row at a Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) national event in Orlando, Florida.
Cambree Woodard and Emma Brennan placed first in the “Event Management” competition. There were 84 national competitors in the category. FCCLA has over 250,000 members nationwide.
“Love by the Dozen” – a project where they sold cookies to raise money for James Project International and a home being built for vulnerable women and children in Guatemala – was their endeavor.

Woodard is the daughter of Zac and Belinda Gilliland. Brennan is the daughter of Jimmie and Angela Brennan.
“The Cabool community, friends and family from across seven states rallied around this project and the girls couldn’t have done it without every single one of them,” said their parents.
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a Career and Technical Student Organization that functions as an integral part of the Family and Consumer Sciences education curriculum and operates within the school system.
