A man from Licking was injured Tuesday afternoon when his dump truck blew a tire about five miles north of Houston on U.S. 63, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Tpr. Nathan Poynter said the northbound 1999 Peterbilt Model 277 dump truck, driven by a 30-year-old man, went off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to a Licking medical clinic with minor injuries. The truck was totaled.

Assisting at the scene were Cpl. Travis Brown and the Houston Rural Fire Department.
