Members of the Houston Fire Department were called to a structure fire on West Cedar Street just before 6 a.m. Monday.
The blaze was situated behind the Houston Rural Fire Department station, authorities said.
An entry team made a quick knockdown of the fire located in the upper bathroom wall and attic space directly above the bathroom, said Robbie Smith, fire chief. A fire marshal said the blaze was likely electrical in origin.
The City of Houston Electrical Department also was called to respond. The Houston Police Department also was on scene.
