One person is charged following an accident Friday night that seriously injured a Success teenager, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Tpr. Jason Sentman said a northbound 2022 Toyota Camry driven by Jadyne N. Curnutt, 19, of Columbia, ran off the right side of Routes 17 about 1.5 miles south of Roby, hit a sign and tree, causing it to overturn.
The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, had moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital. The teen passenger was flown to Cox South in Springfield. Investigators said it is unknown whether she was wearing a seat belt.
Curnutt is charged with felony DWI that involved serious physical injury, failing to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash and minor visibly intoxicated, Sentman said.
The vehicle was totaled in the 11:20 p.m. crash. Assisting was Cpl. Stacy Crewse.
