Texas County remains under an Extreme Heat Warning until 7 p.m. Thursday, the National Weather Service said.
Hot and humid conditions will occur across the area into next week.
Daily afternoon highs in the mid to upper 90s will lead to heat index values between 100-110 degrees through at least Wednesday.
The Extreme Heat Warning was extended to include Thursday, the National Weather Service said.
