A heat advisory remains in effect through 8 p.m. Wednesday for Texas County and an Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for Shannon and Oregon counties until Wednesday at 8 p.m., as well.
Though some isolated spots may be cooler due to isolated pop-up storms each day, widespread heat index values between 100-114 are expected, the National Weather Service said.
