The end of the heat is near.
The National Weather Service said the heat advisory remains in effect through 8 p.m. Wednesday for Texas County. Cooler temperatures arrive on Thursday.
Though some isolated spots may be cooler due to isolated pop-up storms each day, widespread heat index values between 100-114 are expected.
