To improve safety and traffic efficiency, Houston Schools is implementing updated parent pick-up routes for the upcoming school year, it says.
HIGH SCHOOL
Use the designated high school pick-up route located on West Pine Street. If you are only picking up high school students (Yellow Route).
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Follow the middle school pick-up route located in the parking lot behind Tiger Fieldhouse and Hiett Gymnasium if you are picking up middle school students (Green Route).
COMBINED MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL HOUSEHOLDS
If you are picking up both middle and high school students, use the combined pick-up route in the parking lot behind Tiger Fieldhouse and Hiett Gymnasium (Green Route).
STUDENT DRIVER ROUTES
High school student drivers will use a separate student driver route with two exit points for safer and faster departures (Pink Route).
The school district says persons should follow all posted signs and staff directions during pick-up and drop-off hours.
