A call went out this week to learn information about a dog and its owner that were at Saturday’s Roby rodeo.

The Roby Fire Department reports the dog bit a 4-year-old child, and contact wasn’t able to be made with the owner about the status of the animal’s rabies shot.

The dog had reddish hair and was about knee-high.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Roby Fire Department or the Phelps Health emergency department. The timetable is urgent: The child may have to undergo a series of rabies shots.
