Thursday night’s Houston High School football “Pink Out” raised $1,647.53 for the Anthony Newsome family.

Newsome, a HHS math teacher, and his wife recently lost twin babies during pregnancy. Fans were encouraged to wear pink and blue in support of pregnancy and infant loss. Ribbons were sold by the cheerleaders and a bucket was passed through the stands between the first and second quarters.

A bucket was also passed between sets of Monday’s HHS home volleyball match to raise another $361 – making the total just over $2,000 for the Newsome family.
