Following the execution of a search warrant on Oct. 23, a Licking man faces a felony drug charge.

Logan M. Venn, 24, of Sackett Street in Licking, is charged with possession of a controlled substance (a class D felony).

A Licking Police Department officer reported that during a search of Venn’s residence, a glass mirror was observed in plain view that had a white powdery substance across its surface. Also on the mirror were a debit card issued to Logan Venn, as well as his Missouri identification card, both of which also had a white powdery substance on them.

The officer reported that next to the mirror was a small plastic baggie containing residue, a plastic straw and a butane lighter. The white substance tested positive for methamphetamine.

Venn reportedly admitted the meth was his and stated there was an additional bag of meth on a shelf near the mirror and consented to a search to locate it. A subsequent search of the shelf revealed a baggie containing a clear, crystalline substance and two glass smoking devices.

Venn was arrested and taken to jail. Cash-only bond in the case is set at $2,500.
