A Success woman faces several charges after a Missouri State Highway Patrol investigation early Oct. 2 in western Texas County.

A trooper was called to Route M near Turley Road where a red Chevrolet pickup pulling a trailer was reported to be blocking the highway. Another vehicle was parked in front of it. Both hoods were up.

The trooper suspected Patricia A. Johnson was possibly impaired and seemed nervous. A search of the truck turned up illegal drugs and controlled medications, according to a report. Among findings: A clear plastic container with two plastic baggies containing a white crystal substance consistent with methamphetamine, three different types of pills, mushrooms and more pills in a backpack.

Johnson, born in 1981, is charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance, class D felonies; operating a vehicle without a valid license, a misdemeanor; not having insurance and failing to register a motor vehicle, both misdemeanors.

Bond is set at $1,500 cash only. She was scheduled for release before a signed warrant was received and is not in custody.
