A local church is hosting a free Trunk-or-Treat At The Movies event on Sunday.
The family-friendly evening will include decorated trunks and a movie at the Phoenix Drive-In. It is hosted by Faith Fellowship.
Candy can be collected from trunks beginning at 5 p.m. Around 6:15 p.m., the movie “King of Kings” will be shown. There is no cost for either. Refreshments will be available to purchase during the movie.
Organizers from the church said the trunks are for children sixth grade and younger. The movie is available to anyone. The church requests no scary or bloody costumes or themes.
“We’re looking forward to a fun and safe night together that redeems what can be a dark holiday,” Pastor Jeff McNiell said. “We invite all our community to join us for the first of what we plan to be an annual event.”
