The Cabool Police Department conducted 44 traffic stops that resulted in 29 summonses issued during the Nov. 24 to 30 reporting period.
On Nov. 30, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Garst Street for a report of a stolen vehicle. During investigation, officers stated the victim had been assaulted and held in her home against her will. The suspect was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges for third-degree domestic assault, kidnapping and automotive theft.
In total, police handled one accident, two animal complaints, an assault, assisted other agencies three times, two civil matters, one juvenile matter, one peace disturbance, gave one private escort and assisted the public 11 times.
