A Raymondville man was arrested May 12 after he allegedly resisted arrest on a Texas County warrant, authorities said.

Joshua E. Purcell, 41, is charged with resisting/interfering with arrest for a felony, a class E felony.

A deputy arrived at Purcell’s residence, where he found the man at a gate, according to a report. Purcell said he might run, and the deputy climbed over the gate and Purcell attempted multiple times to resist, according to court documents.

Bond is set at $3,000 cash only.

The original warrant charged Purcell with driving while revoked. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. A Texas County grand jury indictment was unsealed on May 7.
