Nancy Lee (Mercer, Robbe) Creason was born on June 9, 1948 in Washington and was adopted at the age of three by Pauline and Roy Mercer. She left this earth on July 29, 2026 in Canon City, Colorado surrounded by her children.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother, Larry Flowers. Nancy loved her family with a big heart, and believed that her family was her greatest achievement in life. She is survived by her daughters, Paula Peterson (Kurt), Tracy Ledgerwood (Tim) and Celena Miller as well as many grandchildren, Langley Collins, Tolonqua Miller, Kira Davis (Dustin), Falicity Richardson (Ashlyn), Willy Miller (Kelly), Tristram Peterson (Kaitlyn), Jonas Peterson, Kadenn Miller, Kalee Miller, Parker Miller, Hali Marshall (Daniel), Zach Ledgerwood (Jessica), Joshua Ledgerwood (Kirstien), Tyler Edwards and 12 great-grandchildren.
Nancy was a lover of plants and gardening, and loved cooking and canning what she grew. Nobody ever left her home hungry — she always made sure that everyone was fed when they visited. She was an avid baker and enjoyed decorating cakes for the people she loved.
She adored animals, especially her beloved dog Scruffy. She grew up in Missouri running the hills and hollers of the Ozarks, hunting, fishing and picking berries. She was a lover of horses and spent much of her younger years riding and training them.
She made a career of working with special needs clients, helping them to enjoy their most productive life. She cherished the opportunity to work with Special Olympic athletes. She was a supportive parent and was involved in 4-H, flags, Brownies and any other adventures her children participated in. She had a creative side and loved to spend time crocheting and sewing. She lived an eventful life in several states: Missouri, Colorado, California and Nevada. She loved music, had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh with friends and family. She was always up for a good cup of coffee and everyone was welcome at Nancy’s table. She was cherished and she will be missed.
