Danny Michael Roderick, 79, of Houston, Missouri, passed away on Oct. 1, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri. A memorial service will be held at Hickory Ridge Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Oct. 8, 2026.

Danny was born in Upton, Missouri, to Pete and Ruby Roderick on Oct. 10, 1946. He attended a one-room schoolhouse in Upton and graduated from high school in Houston. After high school, Danny joined the United States Air Force and proudly served in Vietnam.

Danny worked as a machine operator at General Electric for 25 years. He loved spending time with his family and cherished the people, land and community of Upton, Missouri. He was a farmer at heart, but there was little he couldn’t build or fix when he put his mind to it. Danny’s kindness and willingness to help anyone in need knew no bounds. He was a hardworking, dependable man who was always ready to lend a hand.

Danny is survived by his loving wife, Mary Roderick; his daughter, Tracy (Rick) Greiner; and four granddaughters, of whom he was fiercely proud: Maia Greiner, Lily Greiner, Jade Sisco and Willow Sisco. He is also survived by his brother, Leon Roderick; sister-in-law, Faye Roderick; sister, Arlene Williamson; and many nieces and nephews, including Susan Bautista, Russell Roderick, Robb Roderick, Sabrina Braun, Ed Williamson and Bill Williamson.

There are simply too many people who loved Danny to count. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends and all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Ruby Roderick, and his daughter, Sandy Sisco.

A graveside service for Danny will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, at Hickory Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Evans Funeral Home of Houston. Online condolences may be left at www.evansfh.com.
