A 21-year-old Plato woman reported to the Texas County Sheriff’s Department that she had been assaulted by a home invader.
The woman told an investigating officer that she arrived at her Highway AW home at about 2:30 p.m. and turned on the computer to listen to music. She stated that about five minutes later, she heard a sound and walked halfway down a hallway toward her bedroom, when a man came running out of the room, grabbed her by the neck and pinned her to the computer desk for a few seconds.
She said the man then ran out the back door. She described the man as white, about 5-11, clean-shaven, wearing a black skull cap, gray hooded sweater, brown boots and blue jeans.
She stated that on several other occasions she has seen a man standing at her back door just looking at her, but that she never reported it.
The woman said she had no idea who the man was or which way he went when he fled her home.
