A deputy responded Saturday to a report of an assault at a Gentry Lane residence in Plato after a visitor emerged from a bathroom.
The 33-year-old woman and 42-year-old man living there told the officer that they had both been attacked by a 37-year-old Houston man who they had allowed to come inside to use the bathroom.
The man stated that when the visitor emerged from the bathroom, he attacked the man, hitting him with a closed fist. The man said the woman then tried to stop the visitor, but was also punched.
The officer reported that the visitor had left the scene by the time he arrived, but the suspect would be cited for assault when he was located. There is a suspect.
